To establish a resilient, multi-sectoral and integrated wildlife health system in Bhutan that ensures the conservation of biodiversity, safeguards ecosystem health, and mitigates zoonotic and anthroponotic disease risks through proactive surveillance, targeted research, and sustained capacity building
Establish and strengthen delivery of wildlife health program
To enhance the health and resilience of Bhutan’s wildlife populations and ecosystems by strengthening national wildlife health systems through integrated approaches that promote biodiversity conservation, prevent and manage wildlife diseases, mitigate zoonotic risks, and ensure the well-being of wildlife, livestock, and human communities
Establish wildlife disease surveillance system
Strengthen wildlife diseases preparedness, response and recovery system
Promote Research and knowledge on Wildlife Health
Resource mobilization and sustainability
Human Resource development, management and capacity building
