🟪 UNIT II: PAST PERFECT
Estructura:
✔ Affirmative: had + past participle
❌ Negative: had not + past participle
❓ Interrogative: Had + subject + past participle?
Uso:
Acción anterior a otra en el pasado.
Común en narraciones.
Conectores:
Before, After, By the time, Already, Just
Ejemplo: She had left before I arrived.
🟦 UNIT IV: WOULD RATHER / PREFER
Would Rather:
Menos formal
Subject + would rather + base verb
Ej: I’d rather stay.
Prefer:
Más formal
Prefer + noun / -ing / to + verb
Ej: I prefer tea to coffee.
Contextos:
Preferencias, planes, decisiones
🟨 UNIT V: PERFECT MODAL VERBS
Estructura:
Modal + have + past participle
Usos:
✅ Could have: posibilidad pasada
❓ Might/May have: especulación
📌 Must have: deducción
⚠ Should have: crítica o arrepentimiento
Ej: She must have forgotten.
🟩 UNIT VI: PURPOSE CLAUSES ("SO THAT")
Estructura:
Main clause + so that + subject + verb
Ej: I study so that I can pass.
Uso:
Explicar propósito o razón
Alternativas: In order to, To + verb
