Organisational inertia is the unenthusiastic response from a business and management to proposed change
Legislation or changes in legislation can prevent or make it difficult for businesses to implement their desired changes

Changes include minor such as tweaking a marketing strategy, and major such as restructuring the entire business
Businesses review their performance to determine if they are achieving their objectives. These reviews can lead to business change wich is where the business makes alterations by adopting a new kind of behaviour
