Etiology
commonly caused by repetitive movements of the wrist and thumb, such as lifting, gripping, or texting. It may also occur due to overuse injuries, direct trauma to the wrist, or inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. Hormonal changes, especially during pregnancy, can also contribute. This condition is more commonly seen in women aged 30 to 50.
