Examples:
-Decoding a simple word like "hat"

-ng is usually at the end of a syllable
-English words can begin with a maximum of three consonants
-pl is appropriate to begin a word
Non-examples:
-Words can not begin with tl- or sr-
-Words can not end with -gm or -dl
-Words can not end in "v"

Characteristics:
-To see multiple answers
-An essential capacity for creativity
-Thinking laterally instead of linearly

Definition: A cognitive process that is focussed on creating multiple ideas or several solutions to a problem.
Non-examples:
-Building a lego set using specific instructions
-Solving a math problem that only has one possible answer
-Multiple choice tests with only one correct answer choice for each question
