Learning a new instrument
I already play several instruments, such as saxophone and voice, and I can read and sight-read sheet music considerably well. I was interested in learning bass for the band I am already part of. To do this I would need to learn to read bass clef, and learn new fingers and bass techniques. I would have good access to resources as I am heavily involved in music communities.
Writing my own song
I do this enough in music classes for it not to be a new skill and I don't think I would learn much.

Knitting is something I enjoy and already practice, but at a beginner level. The issue with doing this as my skill for AIF is I am worried I will stop enjoying it.

It would be difficult to develop a project and final product with helping other people, as I would have to reach out to external resources for everything and it would be hard to access.

Develop a study plan that suits my needs
I would consider myself a chronic procrastinator, and if I develop a study plan it could be beneficial to my schoolwork. However I am unsure if this would have enough substance to do a unit on it.

I have coeliac disease, meaning it is very hard for me to find a good bread substitute that actually tastes and feels like bread. If I were to make different types of bread I could do research on pre-existing recipes and then develop my own after receiving feedback from different people.

Learning Irish
Learning conversational Irish would mean I could speak with my grandparents in their first language. It is a dying language and this could be useful to learn about my culture and heritage. If I were to choose this idea I would have a lot of resources to achieve my goals.
