        Make sure the track is accessible so the maintenance crew may descend to perform repairs.
- - - - The individuals known as maintenance staff are typically called upon during non-traffic or engineering hours or when they are required to perform maintenance due to a station or track malfunction.
  - - - During engineering hours, the maintenance staff will be ready to be activated to perform their primary duties.
        
        maintenance Employees must set up their Track Access in advance to avoid a chaotic process later.
  - - - It is not necessary to have train staff during engineering hours.
        
        To perform their maintenance work on the track, on the train, or anywhere else that requires repair work, maintenance personnel are required at this time.
