BAKING
-
cake decorating
do different types of cake decorating for different occasions (birthday, celebration, etc.)
personal connection: l love baking with my family cause it makes us all happy and it brings us all together. However, I was always really bad at decorating in all aspects. So it would be nice to develop my cake decorating skills to make the baked goods more enjoyable and tastier and more presentable. Especially to accommodate for different occasions, without having to buy expensive cakes each time.

healthy desserts
personal connection: my family and I love eating desserts, but too much is unhealthy. My dad has high cholesterol, so sometimes it is important he handles his sugar intake and diet, however since our family really likes sweets and desserts it may be difficult for him to manage as well as my family, so making healthy desserts would allow my family to eat desserts to our content but not damage our health/my dad's condition further.
MUSIC
clarinet
personal connection: played clarinet from year 4-year 8 and always struggled, I was never good at it and always struggled so it would be good to have achieved something to make myself proud and to know that all my years learning wasn't for nothing.*
-
piano
personal connection: first instrument I learned to play. I always found it difficult and was never that good at remembering or playing difficult pieces, so I could get better at it now.*

HAIR
different hairstyles
personal connection: *I've always struggled doing my hair, especially after my hair randomly became wavy hair so it has completely changed how I do my hair. Learning how to do different hairstyles that accommodates my new hair type would make me feel more confident in myself

LANGUAGE
learning a new language
tamil
personal connection: Even though English was the first language I began speaking, my family always communicates in Tamil (their mother tongue) at home. This has allowed me to pickup many Tamil words and understand sentences in common conversations, however, I am yet to be able to fully speak and write Tamil so by doing this I would be able to communicate and write to my extended family members in a language they completely understand (Tamil) as well as stay connected to my culture.
