What reality happened?
When Germany went to France they can not passed because of the maginot of line. So they had to go through Belgium but when they passed the BEF (Britsh expeditionary Force) was waiting him. So he had to went back and attack Russia but Russia was also waiting him so Germany had to dug trenches.
