MAY15 INCIDENT ( MILITARY COMTROLLED GOVT)
May 1932- Prime minister Inukai was assassinated because he did not agree to the militarist's action in Manchuria (Setting up of Manchukuo- coup d'etat ensued but failed)
Military Leaders backed the soldiers who started it and excused them.
Demanded for political reforms- managed to stop the largest party from forming a new govt.
26 May 1932, the emperor appointed a navy officer to become the Prime Minister- Out of the 15 ministers in the cabinet, 10 were from the military
