What i already know about maps!
A map is a picture of a place usally drawn from above.
Maps can be printed on paper and folded or they can be three-dimensional like a globe or even on a phone the closer you look at a map the more detail you see.
The green areas are national parks if you get even closer you will be able to see the roads.
To help us find inportant places like the train station we use symbols like an envelope for a post office a shopping trollie for a market and a anmil paw print for a zoo.
Maps also use coordinates to help you find what your looking for.
coordinates work by drawing lines over the map and dividing it into sections which are numberd or letterd like the x axis and the y axsis.

How has the map of Sudan changed
Africa is the continent where Sudan is located.
It is next to the red sea
Sudan has more pyramids than Egypt in fact it has the most in the world.
People speak in Arabic which means they write right to left
Sudan has a lot of petral which is an oil that is used in cars.
Sudan has a Middle East girl Judge which is someone who makes decisions about events.
There is a lot of farmable land in sudan and they grow plants like cotten and peanuts.
