      - • Persuasive power = the ability to offer possibilities.
      - • God lacks coercive power = ability to guarantee outcomes.
      - • Evil = occasions that respond minimally (or badly) to the divine lure.

      - • Earthquakes, viruses, etc., are side-effects of the same autonomous processes that also allow complexity, life, and creativity.
      - • They are not “punishments” or the consequence of a single human Fall.
    - - • God pre-hends every creature’s pain; the divine experience absorbs all suffering forever (“the consequent nature of God”).
      - • Final victory = every value is preserved in God’s memory; there is no cosmic “happy ending” imposed, but nothing good is ever lost.
