History assessment
1.history related skin trauma-recent trauma and injuries,use of IV drugs,animal or insect bites
2.medical history-diabetic mellitus.chronic kidney diseases,chronic liver disease.peripheral vascular disease
3.surgical history-indwelling IV catheters,external orthopedic pins
Physical assessment
1.inspect for skin changes-erythema,pain,swelling
2.Assess the lower extremities
3.monitor for the symptoms like fever,chills
4.Mark the area to monitor the spread of infection
