forces and motion
-
important forces
-
-
friction: acts against motion, acts on the ground
when you push a box, the friction of te ground acts against it
air res: resistance from air particles, acts against motion
a car moves through the air, the engine pushes it forward, air res is acting against it
drag: resistance from water, acts against motion
walking in water is hard and slow, because of drag acting against you
upthrust: pushes you up in water, makes you float
-
falling, turning
falling through the air
-
when you fall, there is a certain point where you stop speeding up
at that point, you reached the terminal velocity
2 forces are acting on you at opposite directions, at the same line
-
turning
-
for any obj moving in a circular path, it has a force parpendicular to the motion, which makes it go in a circle
mass, weight, gravity
when a ball is dropped from a height, it starts accelerating downwards

force, mass, acceleration
