GOVERNMENT OF INDIA ACT - 1935 : On the basis of white paper on Constitutional Reforms GOI 1935 was passed. Provisions: a) dyarchy abolished and introduced 'provincial autonomy'. b) dyarchy at the centre - federal subjects divided into transferred and reserved subjects. c) Bicameralism in 6 out of 11 provinces (Bengal, Bombay, Bihar, Madras, Assam, United Province.). d) divided powers between centre and provinces into 3 lists - central list, provincial list, and concurrent list . e) Abolition of Council of India : 15 member council created by GOI 1958. f) All-India Federation consisting of provinces and princely states as units. g) extension of separate electorates - SC, women, labour. h) Federal court set up in 1937. i) Reserve Bank of India. j) Created Federal Public Service Commissions and Provincial PSC and Joint PSC for two or more states.
