ex: sends inforation to your heart so it beats faster and supplies oxygen to your brain and muscles rapidly. this allows aerobic respiration to happen more quickly so you can run away faster.

It coordinates the body’s response to temperature changes.
Sends electrical impulses to skin, muscles, and glands to regulate body temperature.

When the Body is Too Hot
Erector muscles relax, so hairs lie flat and trap less air.
Arterioles near the skin dilate, increasing blood flow to the surface (vasodilation).
More blood reaches the surface capillaries, allowing heat to escape.

Sweat evaporates from the skin surface, cooling the body.
