Engineer precision for all workflows
Reduce the impact of design and engineering changes with centralized collaboration and simulations.
Go from design to manufacture faster
Import and edit designs with CAD data translators for 50+ file types using integrated CAD/CAM.
Autodesk Fusion Interface
The interaction explains the interface of Fusion. Click on each of the number to learn about the interface of the software.
Understanding the interface and where each button is can help you greatly when you are using the Fusion software later.
Properties of a 3D Model in Autodesk Fusion
Step 1: In Fusion, open the 3D model of Object 3
Step 2: Right click on "Body1" in the Browser
Step 3: Select "Properties"
Step 4: Refer to the Properties Window that pops up
Exporting 3D Model for 3D Printing
the commonly use file extension for 3D printing is the *.STL file type.
Step 1: Click on UTILITIES > MAKE > 3D Print
Step 2: When the dialogue box pops up, select the 3D model to be saved for 3D printing
Step 3: Check that the Format is STL, and uncheck "Send to 3D Print Utility"
Step 4: Save the file in the desired location
Sustainability Through 3D Modelling
Designing and Testing Virtually
CAD allows you to check on part details based on the digital 3D model and an assigned material, such as information on strength, centre of mass, and other properties
Multiple Digital Prototypes without Use of Physical Resources
CAD allows for multiple tailored designs wherein resources do not need to be spent to create multiple physical prototypes, which reduces the impact on the environment.
Facilitates 3D Printing
CAD is crucial for designing parts for 3D printing, a process that generates minimal waste compared to traditional subtractive methods.
