Church, state & Civil disobedience
Christians should obey the state's laws because order is useful for sinful creatures like us. However, human law is corruptible, and therefore our primary loyalty should be with God
A moral system which justifies evil acts as God's will is dangerous. Nazis believed god was on their side (explains it all really)
We must also put aside our own personal desires, which Nazis & murderers do not do, they work alongside them in passion
However we cannot truly put aside our own mind, instead we can only minimise its effects
Secularism
Secularists would argue against bonhoeffer for speeration of church and state. The church should not have a say in politics due to their fall from grace into corruption also. Furthermore, due to the rise of seperation and atheism, wartime has been lost
Cheap grace
Believers do not have to perform extra action to recieve grace, they just act christain and get into heaven
Costly grace highlights that we must suffer for our beliefs, and remain steadfast and loyal like Job

Non-violence
Worked for Jesus through resurrection, Lutehr through protest but it would not have wokrd against Hitler. Noin-violence only works when violence is not constantly threatened by the opposition
Aquinas
WE CAN KNOW GOD'S LAW THROUGH NATURAL LAW. Humans cannot understand God's divine nature but it can understand the lesser will of God
CANNOT TRUST HUMAN REASON, DANGEROUS OVERRELIANCE
