Yang- light, masculinity, activity, warmth, and assertiveness
Yin- darkness, femininity, passivity, cold, and receptivity

water- “Shui”- winter- wisdom, resting period
wood- “Mu”- spring, new birth/beginnings
earth- “Tu”- traditionary period that ties all together
fire- “Huo”- summer, full expression and expansion
metal- “Jin”- autumn, letting go, slowing down

Tao- "“The Way” living with wu wei
Lao Tzu- “Old Master”. Tao is the source of all things. Live through wu wei, non attachment and quiet strength.

Neidan- Internal Alchemy- uses body energy to achieve immortality. Qi/Ch’i- life energy, Jing- vital essence, Shen- spirit
Waidan- External Alchemy- uses substances to create an elixir to produce an immortal being
