E* Bath Fan Testing - Coggle Diagram

- - - - Less than 50 CFM :warning:
        
        Check outdoor exhaust flap - Is it painted shut or bug screen is preventing it from opening.
        
        If stuck shut - try to open safely - Notify builder if not accessible - Retest :warning:
        
        Try both opening sizes on flow hood for your CFM flow results.
        
        Is fan housing caulked to sheetrock?
        
        If gaps around the bath fan opening this can cause poor CFM results - CWO to seal opening and Retest :warning:
        
        Is installed fan rated to 80 cfm or more?
        
        If less than 80 CFM - Retest :warning:
        
        Is fan noisy?
        
        If noticeably noisy this could be a fan mechanical issue - Notify Builder - Retest :warning:
        
        Check to see if fan is on high speed - some have a switch
        
        Test at highest speed if still below 50 CFM - Continue to troubleshoot :warning:
      - 50 CFM or more - Passes :smiley:
