Formative
Definition: Type of assessment for learning that is used to monitor student progress and provide feedback during the learning process.

Interim/Benchmark
Definition: Administered at planned intervals during the year to measure student progress and identify areas where students may be struggling.
Unit Tests: These assessments are given at the end of a specific unit of study and are designed to assess mastery of the content covered in that unit.
Performance-Based Assessments: These assessments require students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills through projects, presentations, or other performance tasks.
Summative
Definition: Type of assessment of learning that is used to evaluate student learning at the end of a specific period of instruction, such as a unit, course, or year.
Final Exams: Comprehensive tests administered at the end of a course to assess overall understanding.
Final Projects: Culminating projects that require students to apply knowledge and skills gained throughout the course.
