Endocarditis - Coggle Diagram

        common pathogens for subacute presentation are viridans group streptococci and coagulase-negative staphylococci
    - - s/s are variable and non specific. may be indistinguishable form bacterial sepsis
      - feeding intolerance, tachycardia, respiratory distress, hypotension, new or changing murmur.
      - fever may be absent
      - right sides IE from CVL may have limited clinical evidence of diasease besides persistent positive blood cultures with the use of appropriate antibiotic therapy.
    - - clinical findings correspond with pathologic phenomena of bacteremia/fungemia, endothelial damage, immune response, and embolization
