the regulation of temperature in the body

receptors send impulses via neurones to the brain
the hypothalamus receives these impulses
when the body is too hot
sweat
we sweat when we are hot and it lies on the skin
it cools us down because it uses energy to evaporate
when the body is too cold
rapid muscle contractions

around 37 degrees

this is why the body temperature is kept close to 37
