Business Analytics (BA)
BA is the approach of using data to solve business problems by integrating, analyzing, and visualizing it to make informed decisions.商业分析是通过整合、分析和可视化数据来解决商业问题的方法，帮助做出有依据的决策。
就像你在看淘宝数据仪表盘，看哪些商品卖得最好、什么时间卖得多，从而决定补货和打折策略。
Evolution of BA
It started with transactional systems like HR, Sales, Finance, etc. These systems created large amounts of data that needed analysis.最初是公司用系统（如HR、销售、财务）自动处理事务，由此产生了大量数据，需要分析来“看懂”这些数据。
想象你爸妈开的酒店系统自动记录每位顾客的入住时间、付款方式和偏好，如果不分析这些数据，就浪费了宝贵的信息。
Why is BA important
Data is the new oil. BA skills are crucial for roles like data analyst, BI developer, data scientist, etc.数据是数字时代的新石油，掌握BA技能对从事数据分析、BI开发、数据科学等职位非常关键。

BA Framework (商业分析框架)
Data Source 数据来源：内部（CRM, HR, Sales）+ 外部（社交媒体、汇率、股票）
Staging Area 数据准备区：ETL（三步走：Extract提取、Transform转化、Load加载）
Storage 存储区：数据仓库（Data Warehouse）、数据集市（Data Marts）
Analytics & Reporting 分析与报告：报表、仪表盘、预测模型、可视化
Strategic Information vs. Operational Information
Strategic info helps make business decisions (e.g. which market to enter), not daily tasks like shipping or invoicing.战略性信息用于帮助制定企业战略（如进入哪个市场），而不是处理日常发货、结账之类的操作任务。
假如你是星巴克高层，战略信息会告诉你哪个城市潜力最大、哪个时间段顾客最多，从而决定开新店，而不是每天咖啡卖了几杯。
