Frankie-Landau Banks, Determined, Rebellious - Coggle Diagram
Frankie-Landau Banks
Bold
Bold is a perfect way to describe Frankie. When she realizes that the school is centered around men, she finds ways to make her have some power. She isn't scared of breaking rules or losing a spot at the school, she has an invision of a different world and takes her courage to act on her invisions.
Clever
Frankie uses her creativity, intelligence, and strategic thinking to outwit those around her or those who underestimate her. Frankie questions everything and uses her intelligence to expose flaws. She was able plan these elaborate pranks without the other members knowing. She takes control of the group from behind the scenes by using their own rules and traditions against them.
Outspoken
Frankie refuses to stay quiet and uses her voice to the fullest. She confidently voices her thoughts and unfairness around the school and she isn't afraid of making others uncomfortable or her social standings. An example would be when Frankie confronted her boyfriend Matthew and his friends about their secrecy and exclusion.
Independent
Frankie's independence is the most powerful for her. She thinks for herself and make bold decisions without others approval or input. She wants to prove her point and she will go through lengths to speak her mind. Especially in her relationship, she doesn't want to be seen as a "cute and quiet girlfriend" but as a full person with ideas, goals, and ambitions.
Fearless
Frankie is fearless constantly throughout the book. She challenges authority, gender expectations and social norms even when her relationships, reputation, and a spot at the school is at risk. For instance, she plans pranks that could be risky but she does them to prove her point and her capability. Towards the end, Frankie decided to go down to the underground tunnel system to prove her point once again.

Determined
-
Once her mind is set on a goal, she will pursue it no matter the challenges and obstacles that get in her way. She won't stop until her goal is met or her point is proven. She wants to be seen as powerful and intelligent and determined to be recognized as that instead of "cute" and "harmless". Even when Frankie is at risk of punishment or social rejection, she doesn't quit.
Rebellious
-
Frankie constantly challenges authority and traditions by not just breaking rules for fun but questioning why those rules exist. She doesn't want to be the society's expectations so she pushes back to show she is powerful, in control, and recognized. She uses pranks as protest and manipulates the Basset Hounds in secret because girls aren't allowed in the group.
