I think that under some circumstances teachers should assign home-work to specific students that need information that they have missed or don't understand. But if students have the intelligence they need to pass and they don't specifically need homework, than give them rest after a long day of school.
Giving out homework will also give the teachers extra work, marking and staying the place of torture and work for even longer just because they have to mark the homework that they give out., this will lead to the extinction of teacher because of their depression. this will also lead to the crash out cases from student because of the low energy level from the teacher.

In Late Italy 1905 Teachers gave out homework to naughty and misbehaving students as a punishment.
"Robert Nevellis" was the first creator of homework in the 19 centuries. (Hopefully he died in pain, because what he has created made pain for all of us).

Students go to school from 8:30 am wasting my beauty sleep to 3:00 pm and y'all still wanna give these poor children more work to do at home when you have already tortured for the past 6 hours.

The main point is that homework can hurt your connection with the student and the student will start to act like an alien ,brainwashed with random knowledge.

Homework can make your students very unhappy. for example, what if the student had made plans on the weekend, but right when the student finally feels free from the children prison. you give the student children prison at home and breaking away his friendships.
When teachers give out homework. the students start to hate that teacher and their "Teachership" Falls apart
According to google and Siri (my best friend) Says that homework actually don't improve students, educational or socializing skills.

Some rich children have their personal tutor so they get more knowledge than some people.
Homework is a begining sign of embarrassment when they cant finish their work. because their teachers harass their students with bucket loads of homework. (I have lived in China "I WOULD KNOW")
Some students are not as fortunate to use the technology that we use in school, but they are getting the same amount of work.

how it affects parents
Parents can be worried about their children because of the homework and that they won't catch up to other kids.
kids might rely on their parents too much for homework the parents can't go to work and will earn no money to provide for their children.
Parents will try extra hard to help kids with their academic skills, because they think that their child is failing, and it will cause stress on both the students and the parent.
