Is DC better than Marvel?
Hook
Have you ever wondered what is the best superhero movie/comic franchise?
DC has outstandingly been more inspirational than Marvel.
"You will be different, sometimes you'll feel like an outcast, but you'll never be alone." -Jor-El
Argument #1 DC comics is more inspirational with their stories and characters than Marvel comics.
People can relate to the characters (Superman/Clark Kent) Marvel does not (Thor and Loki)
People after reading/watching DC aspire to be better
Batman's story is very inspirational especially when you put it beside Visions
History and Background
DC stands for Detective Comics because there Comics were originally Superheros solving crime stories but then it became there name of the whole Comic and Movie stuff, and has branched out from just the crime solving to aliens and world saving.
Superman was the first DC superhero to enter there universe.
DC comics started in 1934.
Specialized Info
Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman #19 was the first (and only) comic to win a World Fantasy Award for Best Short Story. But Marvel has not won an award.
There was a poll taken to see what society likes more Spiderman or Batman and the result was that Batman is the superior hero because of his bravery and he doesn't care who gets hurt in the process to bring justice into the light.
Thesis
For years people have debated about which is better DC or Marvel, DC comics and movies are better than the Marvel franchise because they are more creative with their story plot line and characters
Argument #3 DC has original stories and characters.
Marvel has made very similar stories that are almost rip offs of DC because Marvel hoped to gain new readers and replicate the success and recognition of its rival by replicating DC
Marvel has also copied characters, like Marvel has a character called Deadpool, they got that idea from the DC character Deathstroke same for many other characters
In 1940 the first The Flash comic was made than 24 years later the Marvel superhero named Quicksilver was created. In the end Quicksilver can never catch-up to The Flash.
Argument #2 The stories they tell make you think and not just watch/read and be done with it.
Since DC goes deeper than the surface unlike Marvel that don't make a lot of jokes so people may not think it is entertaining but Marvel has a lot of jokes that are very weak that make you feel like you are watching a comedy and not an action. DC replaces jokes with good fighting scenes and commentary (Clark Kent and Jonathon Kent)
After you watch Batman Vs Superman you think and realize that peoples thoughts are fickle and can be changes so fast.
Marvel tries to make it light harder and easy to understand so the audience does not learn or take anything from the movies but DC makes you think about whose side is the right and whose side is for the best.
