Dolcetto d'Alba is a historic wine, still considered today the most widely consumed wine for all meals in the Langhe and the 'Granda' (a typically Piedmontese designation for the province of Cuneo). In terms of organoleptic properties, it has a particularly intense ruby red color, which can take on hints of orange and trend towards garnet as it ages. One of the most characteristic elements of this red wine is the foam that appears on the surface and the rim of the glass immediately after pouring: it has a very appealing purplish color. On the nose, Dolcetto d'Alba has a delicate, winey aroma, not lacking in fruity notes, while on the palate it is flavorful, full-bodied, harmonious, and marked by a pleasant bitter note in the aftertaste. As for the alcohol content, it does not exceed 12 degrees, while the blend is composed entirely of Dolcetto grapes; the situation changes if one wishes to produce a superior Dolcetto. Absolutely excellent wine
