by using recycled material i could make many products as i jsut need to find recycled materials for example plastic, aluminium and steel. so this gives me a wide variety and many options of what product i want to make
reuse a broken product
by reusing a broken product this gives me many posibilities to what i could make as i juyst need to find a broken broduct an use wood or whatever material my product will be made of. for example i could reuse a wooden bench or table to then use the wood to make my product.
when?
shelves
A time when my reduced wsste product could be used is if i decided to make shelves then they can be used when rooms need extra storage space or more organisation.
drawers
Another time my reduced waste product could be used if i wanted my product to be drawers or a bedside table,. Then it can be used as extra storage space and can be used to hold things on them.
why?
reduces the need for finite resources
reduce the need for finite resources is important because these resources will run ourt eventually but we may need them in the future so need to save as mucyh as we can without wasting until weve found alternatives
reduces waste in the environment
reducing waste is important because it reduces the amount of pollution and landfill which has knock on effects to our future generations and onto the impacts of global warming and all the impacts of global warming such as lack of habitats and lack of food sources
where?
home
my product needs to be a certain size to what my client needs and the space that is available for it it may also need to be a certain size depending on if my client needs the product to be portable which would affect its size and place. some places it could go is on shelves in the kitchens or even living rooms.
office
my product needs to be a certain size as it needs to be able to be used in an office without taking up to much space and still being efficient and useful for whatever it is made for. and what my client would need it for. one place for a product could be on a desk or in desk drawers.
how?
reuse already used product
Reusing products can help to reduce waste as theyre is no wasted material and everything is in a cycle of no waste for example by using reusable plastic bags over and over again the reduces the amount of platic in landfil therefore reduces waste as you dont have to keep buying plastic bags.
recycled products
By recycling produccts like cadboard , paper and plastic this helps to minimise the amout of wasted material and resources. so it is important to recycle already used products to make more new products for example recycled paper which helps to minimise wasted paper
