Why it is good
As much as ai can be used to harm the industry there is eveidence ai was originally used to progress artsists

AI is only going to get more greedy and higher quality and we are slowly losing this battle. The more aware people are of the future of artists then we stand a chance against the greedy corporate companies

Even nowadays with the introduction of digital art. Which i must reiterate is not the same as AI art.
Why it is bad
The fact we have found a way to dehumanise our most human form of expressing ourselves
The fact there are people out there who are so jealous of the works of art others create they think they can quickly and efficiently generate slop of other artists hard work
The fact artists even have to be worried about a computer taking their future jobs and putting an entire business out of work
the fact the industry is so scared of being accused of using ai which was first made to help an artist create art but is instead used as a way of putting artsists out of jobs
It isn't just artsists who fear the use of ai. musicians voice actors writers. everyone in the creativity industrustry fear that ai will not only ruin the jobs and lives of themselves but also destroy the industry as a whole. How are we taking the creativity out of the creative. Why are we letting blatant lazy theives steal what we have worked so hard to achieve since humanity began!
What AI is
AI also known as Artificial intelligence is when a computer learns through the acts of human imput and simulates what we as humans act and behave like.
There are many types of AI whether it be the ones that fight with on a video game or one you simply type a question in and it comes up with an overly detailed description of (subject)
though the one i will be tlaking about today is the type that many of us worry about when it comes to tlaking about AI. The type that makes us as human beings lose our sense of what makes us human in the first place. AI art
To understand what Ai art is let me take you to a real world example. Lets say youre an artsit. You've been putting your heart and soul into this one piece that should hopefully get you into your dream art school. Every fibre of your being has been put into this one drawing and you are certain that your hard work will pay off when you get your acceptance letter.
The moment arrives that you submit this beautiful piece when out of nowhere. BOOM in comes ai amy. She steals your art right from under your nose. She also steals everybody elses art too. She doesn't ask in advance. theres not "hi, can i borrow this. but only for a moment?" NO it steals everyobody elses creatvivity and smushes them all together.
Now imagine the frustration when AI amy gets your acceptance letter. The professors blissfully unaware of the hard work you and every other artist put into this just for a few clicks to gain more than you can!?
What we can do about it
There are plenty of arguments online about the morality of using ai art. The most popular argument being. "AI helps give a voice to those who cannot draw."
This argument is absolute rubbish. There are hundreads of differnt ways that can help you express your visions without helping towards the ai apocalypse. You can commsion an artist, you can go onto youtube and actually put time and effort into learning how to draw.
