why does china need the policy?
China has a massive population of 1.3B people and didn't have the resources to maintain them.
problems with overpopulation
Major problems with overpopulation are unemployment, resources drainage, less mortality rate and more.
what are the problems with unemployment?
Increase number of homeless people and starvation.
What are the problems with resource drainage?
With resource drainage food supply runs low and food shortage becomes a problem then people are forced to eat less food leading to starvation.
What are the problems with less mortality rate?
The overall population then gets a lower age average to live, younger people tend to die more.
How does China implement this policy?
High fines for disobeying
the policy.
Rewarding people for listing to
the policy and giving them
gifts and bonuses.
There where people who would snoop on their neighbour and people at work to check the woman of child bearing age.
people where forced to abort their child is they had over one child to keep the policy going.
What are the Benefits of the policy to the locals
locals who listened to the policy would get better healthcare and education, this motivated others to listen.
Once people retire they willl get increased pensions.
What are the punishments for going against the policy?
People would be declared non members of the state and sometimes the child would have no identity so they cant get a job or go to school.
People would be forced to do put there child for abortion.
They would charge them high fines and sometimes give them jail time for disobeying the policy.
what are the after effects of this policy?
Due to people wanting men over women there became a clear gender imbalance.
With lots of people leaving there children the number of orphans rose.
The number of abortions became so high roughly 200million babies aborted.
