- - - - Learners explore different products that derive from plants (fruit, vegetables and nuts) through observation of pictures and then discuss the uses of these products in their daily lives.
        
        "Plants provide us with fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds that are essential parts of a healthy diet" (USDA, n.d.).
        
        "Plants also supply raw materials like fibers for clothing, oils, and medicines used in everyday life" (WHO, 2020).
    - - Learners plant bean seeds in small containers and observe their growth over the next 2 weeks. They record their observations and discuss them after the 2 weeks.
        
        "Plants undergo a process called photosynthesis, where they use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to produce food and oxygen" (NASA, n.d.).
        
        "Seeds germinate and grow into mature plants through stages including seedling, flowering, and fruiting" (Kew, n.d.).
