volcanoes
aa shild volcano is a dome shaped volcano
a cone volcano is shaped like a cone
volcanoes are created at constructive and destructive plate boundaries
eartquakes
as plates get caught together pressure builds up and then suddenly releases it causes an earthquake
the shockwaves are called seismic waves
seismic waves are measured with a seismometer
the size of the earthquake is measured in the Moment Magnitude Scale
olny happens at plate boundaries
structure of the earth
natural disasters
tsunami = really big wave
earthquake = ground shakes
volcano erupting = lava, rocks and ash come spewing out of the volcano
hurricane = massive storm with really fast winds
tornado = really fast winds
forest fire = everythings on fire
drought = very little water
flood = too much water
snow storm = everythings covered in snow
tectonic plates

constructive = as plates move apart it creates new land in the middle
conservetive = plates rub against each other
