Hardware considiration
Display- there are diffrent types and sizes of display. it is important that these diffrent types and size are considered.
Types of display
Touch screen- this allows the usaer to physically make interaction with the screen.
LCD- liquid crystal display are usually found on a range of devices including smart phones, laptops, and PCs.
LED- light emitting diode are similar to LCDs, but LED displays generate their own back light. this means that a back light does not have to be built into the device.
OLED- an organic light emitting diode display produce its own light this means it uses less power and its thinner than LCD and LED display.

Resources - an HCI will also need to use resources, including memory and processing power. when designing an HCI, the size of display, cost of device, method of interaction and processing power memory requirments should be considered.
Memory - if the HCI has a lot of options then the file size needed to store the HCI will be large, as the HCI is almost a programme in its own right.
-
interaction methods
touch and gesture- touch and gesture are used by the user to interact with an HCI on a touch screen. there are many types of gestures that can be used.
keyboard and mouse- a physical keyboard and mouse are the traditional methods of user interaction with an HCI and are used mainly with PCs and laptops.
