I will teach the learners the processes involved when making bricks and sugar. To make bricks, there are a few steps: clay is dug up, clay is ground up, clay is cut into strips, strips cut into blocks, clay is dried, placed in the kiln, bricks are sorted (DBE, 2020:41). When producing sugar, the steps are: harvesting sugar cane, extracting juice, clarifying and purifying the juice, evaporating water to concentrate the sugar, and then crystallizing the sucrose into sugar crystals (Sugar Association, 2018)
