Buggy whips were developed in the early 19th century and are used for controlling the horses they worked with
Thesis Statement
Spurs, crops and whips can also cause unwanted fear, anxiety, and unnecessary pain in the process of training doing the exact opposite of the needs and want for the rider in the training process.
Often times using crops and whips can be a questionable and counterproductive way to work with such vulnerable animals. Using these types of tools can also jeopardize training making the foundation a fear based and non beneficial rider-horse relationship.
