History Homework was orignally frowned upon parents for its hoard of time. Most students and kids had to work to do at home and with homework added onto the equation it was to much and parents disliked it.
Students back in Rome, China, Greece, and Egypt, often had to memorize texts. In Rome teachers would always encourage their students to practice what they learned at home such as public speaking. And in Greece they often had to learn and put to memory long scripts of text.
Later on parents began to like homework seeing their children begin to grow in new areas. Parents began to see the value in it, seeing that it helped with other academic strengths. They realized how it encouraged independace and strengthen skills in academic achevements.
First argument:
Handing out homework allows the students to be tested in there understanding in different ways will at the same time learning more about the subject.
Homework allows students to independently learn and forces them to pay attention to what there doing, and study the subject in more depth.
Homework grants students a better understanding in the subject there studying and working on.

Resposiblity comes with homework and it gives student the chance to be responsible and take charge of your own things
It helps students to grow in personal areas of their lives, not only in school but other areas too.

It helps students to get a better idea of what their learning about in a different way then just sitting in class.
Homework allow students to be creative in their own way through the variety of homework assignment, and understand the subject through their own way.
Homework is a form of studying and helps students with test and quizs.
