Basketball Journey V2
Page 3:Congratulations Duke is a great school. You will have a meeting with your coach later tonight. You will talk about training and how he will use you. He says the meeting is very important, and you have to be there. If you want to go to the meeting go to page 5. If you want to skip the meeting go to page 7.
Page 5: Good choice You go to the meeting with the coach he is very happy that you showed to the meeting. He then tells you that it was a set up to see if you were responsible enough by seeing if you showed up to the meeting. Which you did so now he is very happy with you. He then says you will now have a private training session with you. Go to page 9 to go to training.
Page 7: You skipped the meeting and you told your coach that you were sick and you couldn’t come. So instead of staying home you go out to dinner with your girlfriend. When you walk in, a waiter gives you your menu and you sit down. Right after you sit down you hear the door open. You look up and see your coach walk in. You and him make direct eye contact and you get very scared. He walks over and grabs you by the arm. He pulls you outside to have a word. He then starts screaming at you about how disappointed he is. He then tells you that you will not be a key role in the rotation this year, and your scholarship has been revoked. Go back to page 1.
Page 9: You go to training and the coach is very impressed with your talent, and is very excited to work with you this season. He thinks you'll be a very valuable piece to this team. As you are walking out of training he tells you that he wants to do another training session tomorrow. When you go home you see some carrots in the fridge. On the box it says that they expired 9 months ago but he had already chewed them up and swallowed them. He then starts to feel sick so he goes to the bathroom and starts to throw up in the toilet everywhere. If you want to go to practice go to page 11. If you don't want to go to practice go to page 13
Page 13: Good choice you call in sick and don’t go to practice. Your coaches are proud that you know your limits and show you what they did that day so when you feel better you can practice. Since you didn’t go to practice you started to feel better. The next morning you feel better and try to practice. You get halfway done with the practice before you need to stop. If you want to finish practice go to page 15. If you want to rest and don’t finish practice go to page 17.
Page 15: You barely finish practice and start to throw up after practice and felt worse than you did before and told the coach you wouldn’t be able to show up to practice for a while and your coach feels disappointed because you didn’t stop when you should’ve and you lost more practice. Go to page 19
Page 17: You feel really sick and your stomach hurts so you decide to not finish practice because you need rest. But you don’t want to just walk out without telling the coach and disappoint him. So you go in there and tell him I think I need to go home and rest. He looks like he is disappointed but he said I understand I have put you through a lot. I just wanted to see if you were ready to actually play a real game. Go to pg 19 if you decide to skip the game because you are sick. Go to pg 21 if you are going to play if you are sick.
Page 19 : You miss the first game because you are sick. It was a good choice. While you are laying down the doctor calls you and says he has medicine for you and if you take them two times every day you should be feeling better by your next game. Go to page 23
Page 21: So you decide to go to your game even though you are sick. Coach decides to start you as point guard and you go into halftime with 15 points 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Coach plans to keep you in for the other half of the game. You get into the game and start to feel really sick but you try to push through. But everyone keeps passing him the ball because of his amazing first half. But every time he gets the ball he gets it stolen from him. Now they are down by 20 going into the fourth quarter. Coach decided to take him out and he really disappointed his coach. You made your coach disappointed in you going back to pg 1 and try again.
Page 23: You made it to the first game and since you haven’t practiced for a while your still a little rusty but you helped the team a lot and your team had the ball and was in control and you guys won and your coach is proud that you took your time till you were healthy enough to play.
You try not to go to practice and use being sick as an excuse. Go to pg 27. If you go to practice go to pg 25
Page 25: good choice you went to practice and your coach is glad to see that you feel better and you perform well. Coach walks up to you and says that you are gonna be a starter the rest of the season. You tell the coach thanks and walk away to continue to practice. Go to page 29
Page 27: You decide to skip practice and use sickness as an excuse and in the area that you are in is going through a pandemic and you try to go on a walk and you get sick and your game is coming up. And the coach wants you to go. Go to page 21
Page 29: It is now mid season you're doing great as starter and you are leading your team. You get the ball almost every time and get the game to a good start. You lead your team to a get record and a number 1 seed in the March Madness tournament.

Page 11: You decide to go to practice even though you are sick. You miss a free throw and you have to do suicides. Well your stomach already hurts so you start to throw up all over the court and you throw up on the coaches shoes. You made the coach go back to page 1.
Page 2: Great choice, Alabama is a great school. It is summer and your rookie year is about to start. You get hungry and decide to go out to lunch. While your at lunch someone approaches you. They say "We are going to a party tonight. I will send you the address if you want to go." If you want to go to the party go to page 4. If you don't want to go to the party go to page 6.
Page 4: You decide to go to the party. When you get there you see some of your friends. Everyone greets you, because they know you from the basketball team. After about an hour of being at the party things start to get a little out of hand. Then some people walk in the door with alcohol in their hand. Many people offer you drinks and you don't take them. Then finally someone comes up to you and asks if you want a drink. You eventually give in and drink it.As you are in the middle of taking a drink, multiple police officers barge in the door. They get everyone out and they have you detained. Then one officer speaks up and says "Aren't you that new player on the basketball team." You then tell him that you are, and he calls your coach. The coach then calls you in the next day to have a meeting with you. While you are at the meeting he tells you that you are cut from the team and your scholarship is revoked. Go back to page 1.
Page 6: You don't go to the party. You enjoy the rest of your lunch. After you get done with lunch your coach calls you. He asks if you want to do a private training session with him. You quickly agree. You go to the training session and it goes great. You impress the coach and show him things he has never seen before. He then tells you that you did great work that day, and you will be a key part of their rotation during the season. As you are walking out of training you step on a curb and twist your ankle. If you want to tell your coach go to page 8. If you want to not treat the injury and wait it out, go to page 10.
Page 8: Right after you twist your ankle, you turn around and walk right back into the training facility. You see your coach at his desk and he invites you into his office. He asks you "What's wrong, why are you limping." You then tell him that when you were walking out you twisted your ankle on a curb. He then says "Thank you for telling me, we will make sure to go easy and have you rest on it." He then tells you to go home and get some rest and maybe put some ice on it. When you go home you lay down in bed, and put some frozen peas on your ankle. The next morning you wake up and it still doesn't feel 100 percent. You then decide to rest on it again. When you wake up the next day it feels perfectly fine and you are ready to start training again. You then get hungry and check your fridge. You see a bunch of candy bars, and then you see a bunch of vegetables. If you want to eat the candy bars go to page 12. If you want to eat the vegetables go to page 14.
Page 12: You eat all the candy bars that were in your fridge. It was the greatest thing you have ever had but you feel very bad. You wake up in the morning and head to practice. When you get to practice you find out that your team is doing conditioning. Your stomach still hurts, and you won't want to run. You decide to skip and go into the bathroom. After about 15 minutes your coach walks in and sees you skipping. He then tells all of your teammates to go home. You are very confused and then your coach clears his throat and speaks up "Since you wanna skip practice you are gonna stay while everyone else leaves, and run." You then say "How long do I have to run." Your coach then says "You run until I say to stop." You then run and run. After 2 hours you are still running. Your coach then blows the whistle, and sits you down. He then tells you "Son I am very proud of you, that's why I push you so hard. But what you did at the beginning of practice was unacceptable." You then agree with him. You go home and get some rest." Return back to page 8.
Page 14: You grab the vegetables out of the fridge, and sigh because you know it's about to be the worst meal of your life. You put them in the microwave and heat them up. When you take them out of the microwave you start eating them. They taste very horrible but you know it is the right thing. You get a knock on your door, and it's your coach. You open the door and he barges in. He sees the vegetables and is very happy with you. He walks out and invites you to lunch tomorrow. You say yes, gladly and he walks out. Go to page 16 to go to the lunch.
Page 16: After you get done eating your vegetables you go to sleep. When you wake up you have a text from your coach feeling you to meet him at the lunch place. When you get there he has a paper in his hands and he hands it to you. You grab and it, and you see that it is you schedule. It shows that your first is tomorrow. Your coach then tells you that you're starting. You get very happy and get up and hug him. He tells you to go home and get some rest. If you want to go home and rest go to page 18. If you want to go out and celebrate go to page 20
Page 18: You go to your room and fill the bathtub with ice. You get in the ice bath and it hurts really bad, but it's recovering you very well. After you get out of the tub you go to bed and go to sleep. You wake up and you are ready for gametime. Go to page 22 to go to the arena and play the game.
Page 22: You get to the arena and you go to the locker room. You get to the locker room and start to get your jersey on. You run out start warming up. Your coach walks up to you and asks "Do you want to play point guard or small forward today." You don't know what to choose. If you want to play point guard go to page 24. If you want to play small forward go to page 26.
Page 26: You play small forward and you do very bad. You have to guard people that are bigger than you and you can't guard them. They take you down to the paint every time and you can't stop them. Coach is very disappointed and benches you the rest of the season. Go back to page 22
Page 28: It is now midseason and you are leading your team as the starting point guard. You have led your team to a 15-1 record. Your one loss is to Duke and that is who you play to. Coach comes up to you and asks if you want to guard Cooper Flagg or Kon Knueppel. If you want to guard Cooper go to page 30. If you want to guard Kon go to page 32.

Page 24: You play point guard and you do a great job. You run your offense well and have good ball movement. You end the game 33 points and 4 assists. Coach is very proud and impressed with you. Go to page 28.
Page 20: You go out to celebrate. As you walk into the bar all your friends are hyping you up because they are happy for you. One friend walks up to you and talks to you. He says "This isn't good man you need to go home and rest." You think about him and then realize that he is right. You go back to your dorm and get some rest. Go to page 18.
Page 10: Right after you twist your ankle you fall all the ground in pain. You look back at the training facility contemplating to tell your coach or not. You decide to just get up and walk home. You think that if you walk on it a little more that it will be fine. You keep walking on it and it starts hurting worse and worse. When you wake up in the morning your coach texts you and it says "I love what you did yesterday, I would love to train more with you today." You do not know what to say, because your ankle still hurts very bad. You then text back "Absolutely I will be there in 30 minutes." As you drive over there your ankle is still very bad. When you get there and start your workout your coach stops the drill and gets very mad at you. He asks why you are playing so bad and hoping on one leg. You then tell him "yesterday when I left training I twisted my ankle very badly. I was scared to tell you." He then says "I wish you would have told me before, and whenever you get hurt, no matter how bad, you tell me. He then tells you to go home and when you get home you rest your ankle and make a full recovery. Go to page 8

Your top two choices are to either go to Duke or Alabama. If you want to go to Alabama go to page 2. If you choose to go to Duke go to page 3.
