Sensation and Perception, Sensation can be same for everyone but what…
Sensation and Perception
-
Vision
Light enters the pupils, gets converted to electrical signals. (Rods and cones)
Rods: receptors to see in the night, make sense and complete what we see at night
Cones: color vision, sharp vision, etc
Iris, pupil, lens, retina, optic nerve, fovea
Hearing
Sound waves enter audio canal in our ear, using the pinna
-
Touch
Skin receptors located close to the skin, sense, pain, temperatures, and vibrations
Muscle and joint receptors called the proprioception that are in your muscles and tendons, have kinesthetic senses
