- - - - Page 7: You decide to go this weekend and find out more about him. He says Kenney won't be there since he doesn't like that stuff and prefers to be alone. Kyle adds that you probably won't see Kenney much at all since he's not too social and doesn't like people too much. "He thinks they're gross but I don't think so." He says, which makes you a little bit suspicious of Kenney.
        
        Page 11: You decide to ignore the feeling of suspicion and assume that he's just not really a people person. You suggest going over on Saturday since you'll be unpacking more boxes on Sunday. he agrees with your timing and you two pay attention to the teacher. During class he slips you a note. The note reads, "What kind of music do you like? Or do you like music at all?"
        
        Page 12: You start to question why you said yes to him since he's starting to sound a little creepy or something. You want to ask questions but decide to wait until this weekend. Once the weekend rolls around you hop on your bike and tell your mom that you're leaving. She asks where you're going to.
        
        Page 17: You lie and tell her you're just riding around the woods for a bit and that you might go into town later. She can't tell if you're lying or not but she decides to trust you since you don't lie often. She hugs you goodbye and tells you to be safe and have fun. You hug her back and tell her you will, then you ride your bike to Kyle's house. Once you get there he's on the couch playing The Legend of Zelda on his switch. He waves for you to come sit by him. "I just passed a level of Zelda. It was awesome! You should have seen it. Anyways," Without warning, he slips his headphones on your head and starts playing Katy Perry. "She's cool, right?" He asks over the music. "That song is called Roar. Totally awesome right? It's one of her more famous hits."
        
        Page 25: You like the music and listen to it while you and he play video games. You guys put it on the speaker so you both can hear it. After a while you have to go home but Kenney comes out of his room right as you are about to leave the house.
        
        Page 27: You don't think of it much and decide to just head home since it's late and your mom will worry about you. You say goodbye to Kyle and get on your bike and ride home. Your mom made your favorite for dinner. You sit at the dinner table with your mom and dad. END
        
        Page 26: You decide to pipe up and ask Kyle about it. "That's your brother, right? Kenney?" Kyle looks over at the kitchen where his brother is rummaging through the pantry. "Huh? Oh, yeah. We're twins." Kyle waves him over to say hello. "Kenney! Come say hi to my friend. I met 'em at school last week." He stuffs his mouth full of chips and waves. You hear a muffled "hello" as he makes some nachos. You wave back and leave the house. Suddenly Kyle calls out. "Wait! I forgot something. Wait here." He sprints down the hallway and you hear a door open somewhere in the house. After a second he comes out from the hallway with something in his hand. A copy of Just Dance. "You seemed to like the game and I had an extra copy just lying around just waiting for me to get rid of it. You want it?"
        
        Page 31: You take the game and thank him. He gives you a hug before you go and you hug back. You hop on your bike and ride home where your mom has dinner made already for you. She asks you about your day. You tell her everything. "It was so fun, mother. We played Just Dance, and had a bunch of nachos, and played this other game, and he showed me a bunch of cool music. And look! He gave me a copy since he had an extra." You hold up the game disc and she smiles. "I'm glad you had a good time. Your father and I have been waiting for you. Come sit down and eat. I made your favorite." You eat dinner and head to bed. The next day you wake up early to start unpacking. Around noon, while you're eating lunch, you hear someone knock on the door. It's Kyle. He's smiling and cracks his knuckles. "I remembered that you were unpacking today. You want any help? I'm really strong." He flexes his arms and winks playfully at you.

        Page 30: You tell him that you don't really want it since it would just sit around because you don't have the right console. He shrugs and says, "Ok. Anyways you should get home now. I think it's getting dark out." The sun was just starting to go down so you said your goodbyes and then left. When you got home your parents were waiting for you at the table. Your mom speaks first, "I'm glad you got home when you did, sugar. It was starting to get late, your dad and I were starting to get worried. So how was your day? Tell us everything." You tell her all about the music and the games and that you met his twin brother. You tell them you had a great time and eat your dinner. END
        
        Page 24: You laugh at his choice in music and slip off the headphones. "Dude, you listen to this? This music is, like, totally for little kids. Tell me more about Zelda though. I've been meaning to play it for a while now. I just can't get around to buying the game chip. Being busy with unpacking and moving and all.
        
        Page 18: You tell her you're going to a friend's house and she seems a little shocked. "You've already made friends? I knew you would do well in this new school. So who is it? What are they like? They better not be juvenile delinquents. I don't want you getting into trouble like that. It would make us both look bad. Well, worse than we do already." You assure her that he isn't any kind of trouble and she seems relieved at you reassurances.
        
        Page 23: You tell her that he's nice and that he likes video games and music. She asks what he looks like since she might have seen him while she was in town to go to the store a little while ago. You tell her that he has long limbs and shaggy dirty blonde hair. She says she saw someone like that earlier when she was at the store but then you realize Kyle was with you at school, so it couldn't have been him. You bring it up to your mom. "Mother, Kyle was at school, like, with me, so it couldn't be him." You both brainstorm for a minute until you come to a conclusion. "Wait, mother! I totally forgot! There's this kid at school, who I think is his brother, and he looks just like him. I'm sure it was him."
        
        Page 22: All you tell her is that he seems nice and he's your only friend right now. You tell her you're going to be late and she seems a bit suspicious since you're never in a hurry to be anywhere. She lets you go, but not without giving you a hug and telling you to have fun and be safe. You hop on your bike and ride to his house. Once you get there he's playing Just Dance in the living room. He barely looks his shoulder at you and says, "Take your shoes off before stepping on the carpet. Mom'll go crazy. Wanna join? It's really fun. I like this song. You should listen. This is some really good music."
        
        Page 29: You laugh a little at him. "Yeah, smooth moves, dude. But I guess I'll join." He pauses the game and ends the round then picks two player mode. He turns the same song back on. He even sings along too. You laugh and try to sing as well but you've only heard this song a few times. When the song ends he plays another song. It's a little easier than the last one but still a challenge nonetheless.
        
        Page 28: He looks funny doing all the moves in the game but he's getting a high score. You laugh. "No way dude. that stuff looks so goofy. I'm not gonna get caught doing childish dance moves for a silly game." He keeps playing. "C'mon there's no cameras or television set in here. No one can see you but me and I won't even pay attention to you. I'll be too busy beating you and winning. But if you insist then I suppose we could do something different. Wanna play Street Fighter? It's a cool fighting game."
        
        Page 41: You think that Street Fighter sounds cool and he turns on Street Fighter. He's really good but you win a few rounds. After a while the both of you get hungry and make some nachos, splitting it evenly between you. Once you both are full you go back to playing video games. You win a few rounds but he wins most of them. After a while it starts getting dark so you say bye and head home. When you get home your parents are waiting for you in the living room. Your mom speaks up. "Did you have fun?" She looks mad. It's probably because you came home very late. Your dad talks next, "It's almost 10:00 at night. Where the heck have you even been all night? Do you have any idea how worried your mother and I were that something might have happened?" They ground you for the next 5 months and you're not allowed to go anywhere besides the house and school.         Page 40: Since he said he would beat you, you're now up for the challenge. "No way. I bet I'll beat you at every song. I'll be so great at this you'll cry." He smirks and plays one of the songs. You both do really good but he beats you only by five points. On the next song you win and the song after that. But he beats you on the fourth song. All of a sudden Kenney walks in. "Kyle could you please turn your vocal trash down? It's totally ruining my me time. I can hear you from upstairs. Mom and dad could probably hear you from work." Kyle rolls his eyes. "No, I cannot turn down my 'vocal trash', my friend and I are jamming out. So maybe go out in the backyard." Kenney is about to lose it. "Kyle Beau Oxford these walls are literally soundproof! And I can hear you from upstairs! How are you two not deaf yet!?" Kyle rolls his eyes and sticks out his tongue at Kenney but turns the game down a little bit. As Kenney walks away he says, "And next time I'm hitting you, whether your friend is here or not!" He yells this down the hallway just for Kyle to hear. "Is he always like that?" You ask trying not to laugh. He rolls his eyes. "Ugh. Yes. He's a total jerk. Anyways wanna keep playing our game? Unfortunately at a lower volume." He adds and rolls his eyes.

      - Page 9: You say you can't since you're busy this weekend but offer to hang out another time, like maybe the weekend after or the one after that. He agrees and you two talk throughout class about video games and music amongst other things. END
  - - - Page 8: You agree to go over and he gets a little excited. "Cool! I can show you all the good ones. Like The Black Parade, Helena, The Ghost of You, Teenagers. The list goes on really. Anyways, how about we meet up this Saturday? I think I'm free then. Or at least I should be. Something might come up though."
        
        Page 13: You decide to meet up with him on Saturday to listen to My Chemical Romance and he smiles. "Nice! I'll make sure to show you all of the best songs. I'm sure you'll like them. They're a really cool band. I'm surprised you haven't listened to them before. they're really popular. Well not really, but they're still a little popular."
        
        Page 16: You say it sounds like some weirdo band and laugh a little. He tries to convince you it's cool but it doesn't work. He says he'll show you some other bands though. He says, "Ok, ok. I won't show you MCR but I'm still gonna show you some good music. And besides it's not a 'weirdo' band, it's just different. How about Katy Perry? That sound good to you? She's super hot."
        
        Page 20: You think Katy Perry sounds stupid. You say you'll still go over but just to show him some real music. "Katy Perry sounds bad. I'll still go to your house but only to show you some actual music. Not the stuff you listen to." So the weekend rolls around and you go over. You both show each other some music and like it. After a while it's time for you to go home so you say your goodbyes and go home. Dinner is at the table, already made where your parents sit. You eat, watch a movie, then go to bed. END
        
        Page 19: You think Katy Perry sounds cool and say sure. He seems happy that he convinced you to listen to at least a little bit of his favorite music. "Cool. I'll see you on Saturday. Make sure you're prepared though. Because obviously your ears have never heard anything this great before." He smirks slightly.
      - Page 10: You decline his offer and it discourages him slightly but he doesn't give up. He asks if you still want to be friends with him or maybe do something else with him like play video games or
        go to take a walk after school around town and ride bikes.
        
        Page 14: You decide you want him to be your friend and say yes. You decide to go around town on bikes with him to see the town. You haven't been into town yet since you live a little ways in the woods and it would be nice to ride around since you haven't been on your bike in a while. He smiles "Ok! How about Saturday? I think I'm free that day. What about you?"
        
        Page 34: You offer Sunday because you have to unpack on Saturday. He grabs a book from his stack and flips the pages. He stares intently at the page reading it over before smiling up at you through his shaggy hair. "I'm free on Sunday. I might be a little late though. I haven't been on my bike in a while. I might have to fix it up. Actually I might just buy a new one since I might not even fit on it right now."
        
        Page 35: You're free on Saturday so you say it's fine. After that you both pay attention in class and occasionally pass notes. In your next class you don't have either of them with you but the girl you sit next to seems friendly. She passes you a note. It reads, "Hey you got any friends yet? I bet you know Kyle. Everybody does. You're the new kid right? From Minnesota?"
        
        Page 42: You write back to her, "Yeah, I'm new. And yes, we're gonna ride our bikes around town on Saturday. He seems really cool. Anyways, what's your name? Or can I just call you 'the girl with the decent handwriting'?" Her handwriting was neat and in cursive. All the loops and swirls all looked like they took years of practice to get down. And they probably did. She giggles quietly and writes back. "My name is Leela. Leela Vincenzo. It's Italian since I'm from Italy. They had really good pasta there." You seem kind of interested in Italy.
        
        Page 43: You make it brief, not wanting to give away too much information. You write back, "Yeah. I'm new. Why do you want to know? And how did you know where I'm from? That's kind of creepy ya know. When you do have someone's information you don't let them know. Probably." She blushes a little and writes back, "Well I mean I'm more of a listener than a talker so I hear a lot of things. And rumors spread fast. There's always a reason rumors spread though, always at least a little truth behind it. It's just mixed up usually. So I'm right?" You sigh a little and write back. "Well, yeah. But don't go telling everyone."
        
        Page 15: You pass him up on his offer saying you're busy tonight with unpacking your boxes since you just moved in. It was a good excuse. You're not unpacking tonight but you didn't want to sound rude or make him think that he was annoying you. He seems a little sad but not too upset and does his work. END
        
        Page 21: You're really into video games so you decide to play video games with him. He's glad you said yes. "Cool. We're gonna play so many games. It's going to be awesome! I'm gonna show you Street Fighter, and Just Dance, and Diablo, and Rayman! Rayman is my favorite. He's this weird little dude and he does a bunch of cool stuff and the levels are really cool."
        
        Page 37: You heard of most of those but never really got the chance to play them since you're busy with moving into the new house, getting settled, and unpacking your stuff. "Yeah I think I'd be down to play all those games. I know I've heard of them but I never really got the chance to play them. Being busy with moving and stuff. Gotta unpack and all that." When the weekend comes around you go to his house and play the games. You're pretty good at Rayman and Street Fighter but he beats you most of the time at Street Fighter. When you guys start playing Street Fighter you guys start yelling since it's an intense game.
        
        Page 36: You don't think any of those sound cool, and think that they're probably just childish games for kindergarteners and babies. "Yeah right. Those sound like kids games. How about we play something cool? Like Legend of Zelda?" He likes that suggestion. "Yeah! I love Zelda! I'm on level 7. How far along are you in the game? I bet it's far."
        
        Page 45: You're really good at Zelda and have been playing for a while. "I'm on level 10. There's a glitch in the game. I'll show you when I go over." He seems astonished. He's never known anyone who knew the glitch for the 10th level in Zelda besides him. "No I know it! I beat the game once before and found it! I never knew anyone else knew about it. Cool!" You guys finish up class and when you go to your next class Kenney is there. The teacher tells you to sit next to him, unlike the last teacher, who let you pick your seat. And there were also just no other seats. At his table two other people sat across from him. The girl that sat diagonal from him was a girl with light tanned skin and long, straight, silky black hair. She looked like she was asleep. And the other who sat straight across from him was a boy with a buzz cut and a nose bridge piercing and at least five ear piercings. He looked quite bored and kind of intimidating. You sit down next to Kenney and he shifts slightly in his seat just to be a little farther from you. "Hey. Nicky." He whispers. The girl sits up. "What?" Kenney points in your direction. "Newbie. Minnesota." She looks at you and nods. "Cool. I have you next class." She says and smirks at you. You nod, unsure of her or her intentions. Next period she tells you to sit next to her. "Minnesota right?" You try to correct her but your attempt is useless "That's not-" She cuts you off "I know you know Kyle. Everybody does. It's just a matter if you'll get to know Kenney. At least like me and Finn."
        
        Page 47: You seem a little shocked. "Kenney has friends?" You ask before you can stop yourself. You apologize quickly . "Sorry. That came out wrong. He just . . . doesn't seem the type." She giggles. "He isn't. The only people allowed to look in his general direction are Finn and me. And maybe you. If you're bold enough. He likes the strange, quiet, unusual, and intelligent. If you're at least half of those then you should be good. Most of the kids here are either normal, loud, or incredibly stupid. Trust me." You weren't the loudest kid, you were fairly smart, and you were far from normal. He was sure to like you. "So do ya think you got a shot with us? Or are you gonna chicken out?"
        
        Page 48: You decide that in the next class you have with them you're going to try and befriend him. Luckily you have next class with both Kyle and Kenney along with Kenney's friends. You sat in between Kyle and Kenney and across from Nicky. Finn sat across from Kenney like they were last class. Nicky passed you a note that read, "Gonna ask? I can do it for you. I'm sure he'd say yes to me." You answer back. "Yeah you ask him." She scribbles something down and passes is to Kenney. He reads it quickly, looks you over, then shrugs and whispers to Nicky, "Eh. Worth it. It- they're in." Nicky smirks at you and mouths the words "told you I could do it". You don't question her and decide to be grateful. You now have four friends which are Kyle, Kenney, Nicky, and Finn. At lunch they invite you to sit with them and you walk over to their table. They seem like normal kids despite being so antisocial. You eat lunch, talk, and do friend things. END
        
        Page 49: You decide that sounds like a bad idea so you respectfully decline. She smirks and says, "I dunno if I'd choose no. You could be really cool. Just like us. But whatever. I guess you'll choose the wrong choice." She rolls her eyes and just shrugs. She side eyes you the whole class and when class is over she approaches you. "So have you thought about being friends with Kenney, Finn, and me?" You haven't thought about it much so you shrug. "Eh. Maybe. Actually I probably will. How about you ask Kenney?" She nods. "Sure. I'll ask. I know he's gonna say yes to me.
        
        Page 46: You don't really want to be friends with him since he seems kind of creepy and intimidating. Finn stares at you then passes you a note. In his horrible handwriting it says, "Meet us at the basketball court behind the school. It's a little hidden in the woods. You'll find it." The note seems a little weird and you don't know what he means by "us" but you assume it'll be him, Nicky and Kenney. At the end of the school day you wander into the woods behind the school and find the basketball court. Once you get there you see Kenney, Nicky, and Finn. They close in on you and beat you up. You're unconscious for a while but when you wake up you go home and go to bed. END
        
        Page 44: You haven't played much recently and you're also not too good at the game. You just restarted it last week and you've only passed one level. "I'm on level two. I restarted last week. I was on level 5 though. Not anymore." He laughs a little. "Yeah the game can get a little . . . tough at times. But it's so worth it when you beat the game. I've beaten it, like, one or two times." You smile slightly. "Cool. Maybe you'll be able to show me how to beat the game so I can get past level five for once."
