Bloom's taxonomy**
A teacher should ask questions in a way that develop students thinking skill . This can be done by using bloom's taxonomy, which is a hierarchical system ordering thinking skills from lowest to highest. When using bloom's taxonomy its not compulsory to include every level in each question. In fact, taxonomy act as a guide to define the thinking skill that an instructor except and to align the instructors goals in the question he or she wants to ask.

When asking question at different hierarchy levels the instructor needs to consider the use of open-ended and close-ended question. A close ended question is considered less detailed and more specific whereas open ended question are more detailed and consist of varied responses.
