pop artists draw inspiration from popular culture including advertising comic books , celebrities and everyday objects like windows. They often utilize techniques like screen printing to create multiple copies of their art work reflecting on pop culture. Pop art is known for its vibrant colours and bold outlines which catch attention it aims to challenge aswell.
ROY LICHTENSTEIN was a famous person who became famous for his bright and bold paintings of comic strip cartoons as well as his paintings of everyday objects like ANDY WARHOL he challenged the idea of being different and transformed pop culture sources into fine art but also promoted it.
ANDY WARHOL was an American visual artist film director and producing he sadly died due to complications with the removal of his gallbladder. By the early 1960s Warhol's paintings of dollar bills soup cans and movie stars established his status as the founder of pop art. He was born as Andrew Warhola Jr who he was a Slovakian immigrants son he changed his name in his career to sound more American. He had early illnesses and his upbringing was religious as his parents were devout Roman Catholics.
Jackson Pollock was born in Cody Wyoming in 1912 and became famous or is best known for his action paintings and abstract expressionist works. For these pieces pollock dripped paint onto the canvas to convey the emotion of movement. He sadly died at the age of 44 in 1996 due to an alcohol related car Collison, his greatness lies in developing one of the most radical abstract styles in the history of modern art.
