Recent Politics - could be a shift from equity worldwide and focusing on those who need economic, health and management assistance from wealthier countries to a more individualistic and free market approach. War in Ukraine and uncertainty is leading to higher spending on local issues and defense compared to health.

HTAs will address equity and efficiency in SA. More equitable solutions to health problems will be the future with the NHI. EE will play a large part in the decision making process especially when the HTA inistute is formalised.
This article highlights the need not only for technical capacity but also in management, communications and co-ordination for support of findings and implementation of the findings of the HTA.

I did not know there was a guideline. I was also not aware that other countries have institutes that guide their HTAs and SA does not.

CHEERs checklist
Very helpful for when using EE articles. Can be overwhelming when analysing an article. Critical appraisals can be difficult.
