Natural Science
Weather
-
Weather scientist. The learners will engage on daily weather investigations, write their weather reports and represent them in front of the class. This active participation aligns with principles of inquiry-based science education, which emphasize curiosity, observation, and reasoning in young learners (Harlen, 2013).

Mapping
-
Learners are required to research about the different resources found in the Earth and from which province those resources are found, then add pictures of the natural resource with their respective province on the given map template. Mapping activities like this develop spatial reasoning and connect learners to the Earth's systems through inquiry and discovery (Stadio Higher Education, 2025).
People
Learners are going to create a family tree. The tree can be created by using either pictures or names of the family members. Next to each picture or name should be a little description of what each person did to take care of the Earth.
How people lived then and now (DBE, 2011).
Technology
Process
-
Learners will engage in a hands-on activity of making bricks from clay, they can use either natural clay or playdough. To achieve solid state, they have to leave the clay out in the sun to dry.
This activity encourages learners to understand materials and processes through hands-on investigation and reflection—key goals of the Process strand in Technology (Stadio Higher Education, 2025).
Earth-friendly energy
This activity will reveal the effect natural energy has on humans. For this one we will use the sun to see if it can naturally warm up things without the use of electricity. The teacher will have two bowls with slabs of chocolates, one outside in the sun and the other inside the classroom.
