        Global Awareness and Responsibility: Citizenship education should encourage students to understand global issues—such as climate change, human rights, and social justice—and promote a sense of responsibility not only to their own country but to humanity as a whole.
        
        Respect for Diversity: Since world cultures vary significantly, citizenship education must emphasize the value of cultural diversity, respect for different traditions, religions, and languages, and the importance of peaceful coexistence in a multicultural world.
        
        Human Rights and Social Justice: Understanding and advocating for human rights and social justice should be core components. This includes educating about international frameworks like the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, as well as local laws and global treaties.

        Being a good global citizen, for me at 10, is like being part of a huge team where everyone is important. It doesn't matter if we live in different countries or speak different languages; what matters is that we respect each other, take care of the planet together, and help those in need. It also means learning about other cultures, sharing ideas, and being kind to everyone, like when you make new friends at school and play together without leaving anyone out. That way, the world can be a better place for everyone.
        In the Valencian Community we work the Global Citizenship through all the areas of the currículum.
        
        Through education, students should be instilled with values, attitudes and behaviors that support global citizenship. They are taught to develop dedication and peace in society, respect human rights and manage themselves according to the postulates of sustainable development. Global citizenship refers to the feeling of belonging to the wider community and humanity, and through new knowledge and skills students would contribute to a fairer and safer world. A good example of connecting students from different countries are e-Twinning projects.
