Got accepted and shared my story about youth development and the importance of mentorship to members of the U.S. House of Senate
in 2024, I applied to be a collegiate facilitator (inspired by great mentorship throughout my high school years) - I got accepted with the White House Council on Environmental Quality
I led 17 youth delegates to create a presentation for this federal agency based on the challenge question given to us.
Successes explained in thesis
Leading 17 Youth: Presentation at NASA Headquarters (4/10/2025 - 4/16/2025)
On September 2024, I applied to be a collegiate facilitator again (basically a mentor), but this time, I was paired with NASA.
For 4 days, I created lesson plans for these youth members and I to have a successful and meaningful presentation.
Patterns and transitions between lesson plans needed to be intentional.
I worked with a mentor to guide me through this (USDA-NIFA Liaison)
Mentorship was critical due to administrative changes this year.
Extensive training and preparation (November 2024 - April 2025) - Zoom meetings
