Internal Migration
The largest internal migration is China (mostly in Beijng and Shangai)
Until 1978, 20 per cent of its population lived in cities
Many villages close to towns have been taken over by construction of urban housing, motorways or rail links
Others have been left derelict and overgrown as residents migrated to cities
Many people have left villages because of huge constructions such as Beijing Olympics in 2008
