Presentation of Data, AVOID OPEN ENDED TABLE - Coggle Diagram
Presentation of Data
Numerical presentation (no mathematical procedures applied)
Sample size is small (up to 10)
Simple numerical presentation
Example: the weight of 5 infants (even if values repeat mention 2 times)
Tabular presentation which is grouped or classified. Used when in large sample size
Simple frequency distribution table
Study one variable in one group only
2 columns (left for variables right for values)
Total at the bottom
Can have qualitative or quantitative variables
4 < # of intervals < 12. The larger the difference between variables, we increase width and vice versa
Comparing frequency distribution table
We compare the same variable between 2 different groups
Quantitative
Association table, contingency table
Search for a relationship between 2 things
Columns by rows (3×4 - 4×4...)
2 way classification table
Graphical presentation
Mathematical presentation with calculations
AVOID OPEN ENDED TABLE
