Flashforwards
A narrative technique where a scene or sequence jumps forward in time, revealing events that will happen later in the story. It is the opposite to a flashback, and is used to create suspense, reveal future events, foreshadow plot points, or offer glimpses into the story's progression.
Present Time
the moment the audience is experiencing the film as it unfolds, in real-time. This concept distinguishes it from the narrative time within the story, which can involve flashbacks, flash-forwards, or other temporal manipulations.
