        Notice to terminate and oppose the grant of a new lease
      - To Whom?
        
        By the competent landlord ; joint landlords should join together (jointly served)
      - How?
        
        The prescribed form must be used.
        
        Notice must specify the grounds of opposition under s.30 ground
      - When?
        
        At least 6 months but not more than 12 months before the termination date specified in the notice (termination can be on or after the expiry date but not before)
    - - A business tenancy will not continue if its brought to an end by the tenant by giving s.27 notice to the immediate landlord.
      - Such notice must be served 3 months before expiry of contract
      - Cannot be made simultaneously with s.26 notice
